Super Bowl Advertising

This past Sunday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers celebrated their first hometown win for Super Bowl LV. It is no surprise that this year’s superbowl commercials left viewers thrilled and entertained throughout short breaks during the game. Although many of the advertisements were successful, one of the most highlighted commercials was for State Farm featuring Aaron Rodgers, Paul Rudd, Drake, and football player Patrick Mahomes who had been playing for the Chiefs during the game. It was estimated that the price for a Superbowl advertisement was around 5.5 million dollars for a 30 second feature. After reviewing the State Farm commercial, it was found that viewers were left more intrigued with the insurance company more than they had ever been. The commercial had humorous moments when “Jake from State Farm” found out his behind the movie scenes stand-in was Drake. It was also exciting that viewers were able to watch another legendary state farm commercial to celebrate the one year anniversary of introducing “Jake from State Farm” to the world.
